Making colourful clay tiles

Developing my coloured clay mixtures into handmade tiles was the next step. I made metal moulds in which to pack a clay and cement mixture into. A similar method to encaustic tile making.

I discovered that the best technique for making tiles was to throw small bits of clay into the moulds and then pack in white clay mixture on top.
